PROJECT 3 A (PERSPECTIVE)

SHEET 1:DESTINATION



As can be seen from the the sheet 1 called destination,all the cubes look like they are coming from one source (vanishing point).All the cubes are moving towards different directions.From my point of view,these cubes can represent human on earth where all of us have different directions,path,goals and career that we are heading to in our life.Maybe some of us want to become an architect,interior designer,project manager or quantity servayor

SHEET 2:MALAYSIA



Based on sheet 2 called " MALAYSIA",there are different types of size of cuboid being attached together.These different size of cuboid could represent different kind of races in Malaysia living together peacefully.Moreover,these also can represent different kind of design of buildings and houses in Malaysia that symbolize their races itself.

SHEET 3: HUMAN



Base on the last sheet called "human",the two boxes there could represent houses,shelter and buildings.Then,these buildings are designed purposely for human to occupy.That`s why i drew people wearing sarong which located behind the box

SEEN AND UNSEEN (VISIBLE-INVISIBLE)

First and foremost,seen is not the root word but it comes from the word see.According to some dictionaries seen can be defined as giving and paying attention to something,forming a mental picture,examining and investigating as well as reading.From my point of view,when we are seeing something,that means we are using our heart and brain to analyze and interpret from what we have seen with our own eyes.


Hence, unseen can be defined as somethings that is not directly audible or in other words invincible. unseen is somethings that we cannot see but we can feel it with our emotions such as privacy, hope, mind control, comfort, peacefulness, spiritual and intellectual asset.


On the last 24th of JULY,our lecturer,DR.Illias Said explained more details and gave some example of what seen and unseen (visible-invisible) is all about. He told us some stories about a poor and rich little boy. Definitely they came from different background of family,however they brought the same hope. That means both of their parent regardless of their status are having the same hope where they expect their children to excel in achieving their dreams to become an architect, urban planner and many more. From this lecture,i have learnt on how to identify the unseen things and relate it to our study

PROJECT 2 C: THE MASK

THE PRODUCTION OF MASK

What layer is all about?what is the function of having a layer in one`s production or design?From my point of view,layer may refer to layering(clothing) for fashion purposes,layered hair (hair styling technique),a plant propagation (layering) as well as to the production of mask.Therefore,to understand more about a layer,the project called "the mask" was conducted.

Different design of mask can mean many different things.The mask itself can represent our feelings,emotions,character and personality.

EXISTENCE

HUMANKIND

From my point of view as a good Muslim, explaining further about

humankind existence shall not beyond what has written in the Holy

Quran. Surah Adh-Dzariyat (The Wind That Scatter) Phrase 56,

Allah the mighty God has affirmed why human

being were created, which is as a servant to Allah, while Angels

as a human Guardians and Witnesses in the day of judgement.

The Islamic concept explained Adam’s is the first man being created

by Allah and he was made of dust 4000 years ago, and Hawa (Eve)

was created from Adam’s rib to company the lonely Adam and there

was the beginning of human kind evolutions. This was proven from

science research in the award winning documentary “The search for Adam”

produced by National Geographic Explorer which explained the journey of

human evolution with all related to Adam’s genetic. The sample of DNAs

taken from all 6 continents over the world, 5000 to 6000 samples were

taken, and all of them produced the same results; they are

inter-connected.

FIRST PROJECT: 1 MY HOME

CONTENT I: " WHAT I READ TODAY,6 JULAI 2009,0900 - 1200"

Intregated studio 1 was my first class of the day which was conducted by Mr.Wan Burhanuddin.Specifically,the lecture were about reading and documenting.Basically,reading can be defined as looking carefully so as to interpret something written and printed.Besides that,according to the website "dictionary.reference.com",reading also can be translated as possesing such knowledge of a language which enables us to understand things written in it.Apart from that,based on the slideshow that have been shown,i have learnt how to read properly too.These are some steps that could be used:

1. intention (it comes from our aspiration and heart that motivates us to do something)

2. act (must take an action from the intention)

3. product (something that we produce from the work and actions that we have done)

4. actors (architects,managers,quantity surveyers are one of the actors that work together to produce the product )

5. rules (our actions and plans must follow all the regulations that have been implemented)
6. site (city,urban)
   

Morover,in order to participate in the developement of the buit envinronment,we must have basic tools such as documents.Then, we use that documents (text,images) to communicate with people by presenting our design and models to them.After that,we construct the models that have been discussed and serve the product to the people.These are some key points that should be concerned to involve in the developement of the built environment.

CONTENT 2:MY BIG BANG

"My big Bang” activity is an orientation programmed for the new students of school of housing, building and planning which was conducted by the seniors. Actually " big bang" is something that related to the existence of earth from the perspective of science. A tremendous explosion of universe that started 15 billion years ago is known as big bang.Since then,the universe has been continuously expanding.These are some objectives of having this activity for the new students:

1. To tighten the relationship between seniors and juniors
2. To built the spirit of team work among the new students
3. To improve the social skills among the students
4. Students will adapt easily to be a new member of school of housing, building and planning.

SYAFIZAL BIN SHAHRUDDIN (ARCHITECTURE)

I am from KANGAR,PERLIS and was born on 21st of SEPTEMBER in 1989.Talking about
education,i was a former student of SMK STELLA MARIS (1996-2001) and KOLEJ YAYASAN SAAD,MELAKA (2002-2006).After completing my secondary school,i did foundation programme called AUSMAT (AUSTRALIAN MARTICULATION) which was sponsored by JPA (JABATAN PERKHIDMATAN AWAM).Unfortunately,i did not met their requirement and they have decided to sent me to local universites.Luckily,i have been chosen to be a part of UNIVERSITI SAINS MALAYSIA`s family which recently have been declared as an APEX university.I really do hope that i can contribute something back to my university,nation and my beloved country..MALAYSIA..
